Crooks...

Crooks and Castles is the definition of "hit and miss" for me. Some of their stuff, i really dig, but a lot of it i find to be lame and un-inspired.

Regardless, i NEED this hat. Anyone out there who can get their grubby mits on a 7 1/4, get at me.

This is just dope, thats all i got to say.

Random...

...so every now and then i come across something online that i really like, so i save it and throw it in a folder full of these randomnesses, and every so often i open it up and pull inspiration from it. So here are some of the contents of my random folder.

Enjoy.

John's Place...

I showed a sneak peak of this a while back. Its done now, so here it is.
Basically, my pops just got a kegerator and is now turning his den (and my old bedroom) into a Man-cave/bar type hang out area. So i got him his first keg, and i made him this...
His own bar mirror. (he's been in the restaurant biz basically his whole life, hence the chefs knives at the bottom)

Inspiration...

This was on a blog i read almost daily. Artist name is N.C. Winters. Makes me want to try the wood thing again.

I tried it last year, with the intentions of leaving some of the wood grain exposed...but i didnt like how it turned out in the end. I was going to stain the wood a dark walnut color and blend the black background into it, but i just wasnt happy with how it looked when all was said and done. So i went all black.

This reminds me, i did this for the girlfriend last year for Christmas, i should really try to do something for her this year too. We'll see if time permits.

Big ups to the fellas at GOODS for coming through with this collabo.

[stolen from hypebeast, word for word]

"A $100 million dollars promotional campaign has led to the pairing of Seattle's GOODS and Microsoft's stab into the MP3 player marketplace, the Zune. The special gold argyle pattern is limited to 10 pieces, hardly necessary but still a novel concept. Available in 8 GB & 80 GB "

ps - while im at it, check out the blog for Winners Circle, "your favorite store's favorite store." http://www.illkinda.com/blog/index.php
