I used Futura. And only Futura, for the typography. Dont ask me why, theres no significant reason. I happen to like Futura.
Im gonna print this out as an 18x24 poster, frame it, and hang it in my apartment. Ill post pics after i do.

That works too, i like it.
I like the original more. Often times I'll see something so simple and elegant that I think I could have done, but probably couldn't have. Its the simplest stuff that makes the best design, but only the good designers can figure out how to make the good stuff go together simply.

Are you a designer? It sure sounds like it. If not, yuou definitely have a better grasp on it than the average person.
I am. Well in school to be an industrial designer. Often times I'll be in class critiques and the guy with the best project, will be the one with the cleanest simplest lines. It probably took a couple hours to make, but it was a complicated design to think of, angles, proportions, etc all had to be perfect. You look at it and you're like "fuck, that looks good, I should have done something like that" because its so easy simple and clean, but not just anyone can do it.
The best recent example I can think of is the iphone. Its really just a filleted rectangle to average person. But you know they made 200 prototypes, drew 1000 more and sat for hours on end, just to come up with the perfect shape, size, and feel.
