Making people presents for the win. You spend less money and it means more to them. Its better than being like hey I only had $30 to spend on you, so I got you this tie.

"My daughter found Nemo/I found the new Primo"

Slayin em, sir. I still love that r double-o-ster also... Hope yall had a good holiday and all that! It was a New Balance x-mas for everyone on my team, LOL... Hopefully they didn't mind.. I know I wouldn't have!

...and aint nothing wrong with a tie for a gift... I actually ended up buying myself a little Brooks Brothers (Brothers Brooks) Santa Claus tie today as a x-mas gift to myself, (catch me crizing it in March just not giving a fuck.)

I would love a BB tie as a gift for any occasion though. A candy cane, red/white striped, SKINNY tie is next on my list.. Just straight killin the steez at the office, lookin like Mike Douglas in 'Falling Down' n shit.

...but don't get me wrong. I'm just being a herb. I completely understand what you mean about making a gift for someone as opposed to buying a gift for someone... Not only is it usually cheaper, but usually as you said, it may even mean more to them as it was made for them, and not purchased. But shit, Brooks Brothers makes a hell of a tie...

Wow at my commenting rampage. Shit, yall asked for comments right? Haha.. My b.

Haha I know what you're saying. Ain't nothing wrong with a tie at all, but like when I gave my mom a chair I made last year she was super excited, and it was the best thing I'd ever given to her, in her eyes.

Also, Chris, how do you do an acrylic wash? I'm assuming its a mix of water and acrylic paint. I've just started taking up painting but I've never had a class or any training on how to paint, so there's a lot of techniques I don't really know anything about

My dude Boston Chris stays with the ADD comments, lol. Thanks homie.

Adam, id love to design some frniture one day man, a chair sounds dope. Shoot me some pics of the one you made, if you got em. And the acrylic wash is just basically watering down the acrylic, like a watercolor, but then still keeping it pretty dry at the same time. If that makes any sense. If i had the brush too full of water the bristol paper i used wouldnt have held up and it wouldve started to kind of wrinkle up. So the process was like, mixing the color, watering it down, blotting if off the brush just enough, then actually paiting with it. thats just how i did it, im sure theres a more technical way to do it, but i havent had much real training with paint either, so i just do what works for me.

This mini-conversation sounds too artsy for me. :( The drawings are nice though.
