So I am too tired to be funny right now. I am too tired to even pull off boring right now. In fact I am too tired to be awake. I think I need to go buy a Lotto ticket today, because I am really good at sleeping. Like I think I have a real knack for it. Might be the only thing I have ever just been naturally good at. I think the only thing that is keeping me from really starting to approach greatness is that I don’t get enough practice. I was up at 5am today to get ready for work etc. I have no idea how chicks can pull it off, I mean Christ they have to shave things and put on make-up, and do more than just make sure their hair is dry. Long story short myself and a few of the regular rock stars went out for some drinking last night.
Last night I was at Piatti, I love that place. This was only the second time I had been there but I am going to have to go much more often. It is close to home, and the Happy Hour couldn’t be better unless the pretty bartender with the cute front teeth wanted to rub my shoulders while I ordered Wildcats and Calimari. I ate like a king and had 3 or 4 beers before Happy Hour was done and my bill was………well I have no idea (I would guess 19 plus tax though) I didn’t have to pay. Yes I am tht cool, people buy me stuff for my time. I feel a little like Madonna from the Material Girl video, only I am a boy and it’s booze not diamonds with me.
So look out for my new video “Booze Boy” coming soon, and if you want to get an idea of what the video might look like please go to Youtube and search “Robotronic Salmon” but be warned the music is catchy and it will change the way you look at Salmon.
So I have been MIA for a while I know and I kind of went into it recently, but things have gotten more exciting. Yesterday we were told that all of us are being cut back to 35 hours a week, and I am going to Thursdays and Fridays off in preparation for my triumphant return from this 5 month lay off for this foot injury. In the mean time I have been all over Scuba training and pretty much bought all my gear. So if you see a 300pound guy in a wetsuit in Puget Sound by all means throw something at me to see if I move, if I do then I am alive and things haven’t gotten worse……..yet.
So since I am back on the block, tell me what have you jokers been up to?

Where'd everyone go? All the commenters have been hibernating it seems.
Anyways I haven't been up to anything terribly exciting. School, a job thats not giving me crap for hours right now, and drinking beer seems to be what I'm up to these days.
I don't know dude, and I thought I was the one who got quiet all of a sudden when the sun went away.
Speaking of beer, I just got back from Gilligans brewery, the one like 30 feet from my work. My work has been brutal, cutting hours and jobs, which of course has been GREAT for the brewery.
Like you, I've been doing a lot of sleeping. Well, lying down anyway - I've been watching a few movies recently.
I watched "Superbad" - and it was, indeed, superbly bad. Horrific infact. Was there even a plot?
"Get Smart" was decent (especially the 4-second scene near the end in the fighter plane.
"Seven Pounds" was mediocre, but watchable.
"Zack & Miri make a porno" was funny. Liked the drink Steelers fan.
"RocknRolla" was.....meh.
"Tropic Thunder": also meh.
I've been watching all these within the last 2 weeks because I've been spending a lot of time on my own in "my" bedroom recently. Sounds sinister?
Well things in my previous home took a turn for the worse. I was living with my ex. I know, I know....why!?
Well we drifted apart quite a while ago and just broke up, but remained good friends. Well, turns out that after being single for a year and half (happily) and then dating a new girl didnt go down too well with the ex/psycho. Short version: ex contacts new love in her WORKPLACE (!!) and makes things really bad - to the point where myself and new-love almost separate.
Aaaanyway - I'm living with a friend (who's sticking his arm in to get a lot of rent from me) and I've decided to keep myself to myself - I don't like getting under peoples feet in their own home, so I've had plenty of time after work hours to relax and watch movies and play Xbox.
I gotta move again in a week or so - and I've not got that sorted though.
Well you DID ask....
Other than that, I only got out with the camera once in the past month or so.
Things sound like good fun in Seattle. I'd love to do a trip around the Pacific NW with the camera. If that happens, I'm up for one of these $19 all-you-can-eat/drink-nights with BFO!!
New-Love bought me and here tickets to see the Blues Brothers on stage tomorrow for my birthday (which was last month) - I think I'm going to see that because I told her I hate all musicals except The Blues Brothers.
In much the same vein as my very brief movie reviews, n overview of the stage show shall follow.
:)
^^^ and my typing on a Monday morning sucks...
so Chris I woke up ay 3 or 4 this morning and read what you had to say and aside from the fact that you are savagely hard to please when it comes to movies (tropic thunder and superbad were bad?) it reminded me of one of the maine reasons I enjoy having you as a friend.
It is a reminder too me that things are the same all over, when I get so focused on "my world" as small as it is it is good to have a reminder that there are crazy ass ex girlfriends all over the world, the economy has been effected everywhere, people have money problems all over, people have birthdays, watch movies, hide in their homes etc all over the planet. i am not alone, many of us suffer through the same shit and in some cases too celebrate the same shit too.
Plus I really like saying "my friend in Belfast" it makes me sound wordly and hip, both things I am not. thanks brother.
Plus my typing and spelling also suffer this early on a Mon.
Today is day 8 with no day off, two to go.
For sure.
And notice the two constants in the world's troubles?
Money.
Women.
Gimme money anyday.
Having said that, I've a right honey at the minute. Gorgeous Irish redhead - just like God intended.
Slap me before I lose my way..... :S
Ive been non-blogging.
Im working on 2 freelance jobs, and a possible 3rd if they guy actually comes through with the money, but im in no rush to pressure him at the moment. Id like to wrap this one job up first.
Also, i still owe my mom a birthday gift, in the form of some kind of drawing.
AND...ive actually been making some good progress on that 300 painting. I started the face the other day. All i have left to do is the face, the hand and spear, and all the spears in the background. Then some touch-ups and color adjustments etc. Once its done my dude is gonna throw a party at his crib, sort of an "un-veiling party" for the painting.
Other than work, im just staying home, saving money for a vegas trip in about a month. Ive also been doin a lot of running lately, to get in shape overall, but im about to start hittin it hard since this vegas trip is official now. I gotta get right for the poolside.
Thats the Warfare Chris "whats happening" summary.
Not that I'm much of a theatre lover, but I was under the impression the Blues Brothers show was gonna be a stage show in the same vein as the movie. Apparently not.
It was a good show though - the musicians were outstanding playing allsorts from the 60's and all the music from the movie. The two frontmen portraying Jake and Elwood....well, neither seemed to be performers as such.
Nevertheless, it's inspired me to obtain a new copy of the movie (of which at one point I knew practically EVERY line in the script) and watch it again.
That was yesterday. This coming weekend means moving house again. :(
