I like the new one personally. They did i nice job of updating and sharpening up the lion while keeping it clearly recognizable. Im not really a fan of the new typeface though, its a big corny for my taste.

i didnt like the new typeface either..
the worst team logo has got to be the thunder though.. but dont get me started on them
i saw this leak a few weeks back on PFT. my thoughts were... why even bother?
the uniforms look 95% the same. very minimal upgrades.
dont even get me started on OKC. i wouldnt be surprised if they got some new duds this year as well.
ever since reebok took over the NFL licenses, the uniforms have been horrible.
word to buffalo, cinci and minnesota.
color selection and type are definitely sore points.
the new lion looks great, i never noticed it needed a little sprucing up until i saw this. I like the type alot. I don't know if i like it for a football logo but as logo type its great. I like how all the negative space in between the letters is the same, and the i fits inside the L, the inside of the o mirrors the i.It looks like something i would do
I think i just dont like "italic" bold typefaces overall. Then you add on the semi-serifs and its just not my style at all.
Im far from an expert on typography though, i just know what i like.
And Joe, i agree 1000% about the uniforms. I realize they just wanted a newer updated look, but it wouldnt have hurt to overhaul the unis a little more.
Like it a lot.
And on the colour psychology front - I'd never associate blue with lions, but hey, it's been with the city long enough, so I think a complete overhaul may have been too much.
I like the typeface oo, but something bugs me about the kerning between the N and S. They probably exactly the same as other letters but it just looks like theres a bit more space in there.
Perhaps Miller Light has some sort of investment in the team (all speculation)--the L's look fairly similar. Sort of how the new Rockets logo looks like a Toyota emblem and they play in the Toyota Center.
I never thought about that. And i never noticed the similarity on the Rockets logo either.
