...goin over some different options for the prints. Im less than happy with this first go round. Some of the detail is being washed out, I may need to have them re-scan it. Stay tuned...

So i think my barber might be in jail again...

Cause he stood me up for my appointment tonight. The whole shop was closed. This has only happened a couple times in the past, and both times he was locked up (and therefore not able to answer his phone when i called).

So after wating around for a minute i walked over to Elysian Brewing and picked up a growler of that jasmine IPA i like. So this is how the rest of my night is looking.

PS -I got a pic tonight of the rough mold from the jeweler whos producing a piece i designed a while back. Its in the rough stages, but i really think its gonna be bonkers when its done. Id guess a couple weeks tops, then ill post pics on here. So stay tuned...

Coming soon...

...very soon. Like, i should hopefully have it next week.

I decided against the all black one. This joint seems like it'd be more versatile and grown up. I dont think id feel right wearing a huge all black watch with a suit etc...so white it is.

I know i said no more FAB related posts, but...

...it's on the cover of XXL Magazine.

Thats kinda cool.

I dont buy many shoes anymore...

...but im gonna need these. So classic, and then they went and updated em with new materials and techonology.

"The latest development in Nike’s strong cast of hybrid performance models is the Air Maxim 1. To ring in the new model, the Air Max 1 inspired running shoe features an iconic Varsity Red colorway likened to the original Air Max 1 release. What differentiates this model from its predecessor is the integration of lightweight, supportive Flywire on the upper to shave off bulk and weight in addition to providing the necessary performance benefits of a thiner material."

I been sluffin...

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, i kinda took a blogging break. I finished up a couple things and for the first time in a while, didnt really have a deadline of any kind. So i chilled and did nothing for a while. It was nice.

Back to work though.

Got this UPS package today, the contents of which are censored. Basically though, my cohort and i are trying to decide on a specific size for this project, so he sent two "prototypes". (in the loosest sense of the word)

Then i drew a little (like, 7 minutes worth. I wasnt in the mood). Also put down a rough idea for a new logo that should be in use in the upcoming future. Ill get more into that later.

And since i had my camera out i took some pics of my main humidor. I decided to go through and organize it, then took all the cellophane wrappers off of them. Ever since i started smoking like 6-7 years ago, ive always left them on, to protect them when i take a couple with me to a buddies house etc. But forget all that, i got a lot of cigar bags now and a travel humidor, so i decided to get rid of all the cellophane.

MUCH sexier now. I wish id have done it sooner.

Ill try to get back on the blogging grind. Stick with me.

Some new stuff...

Posted: Thursday, June 11, 2009
...so this is one of the three new flavors of Monster Energy. Its called Import, and its from Amsterdam. My dude at Monster gave me a case of samples today to try out, i imagine it'll hit stores (at least in my area) tomorrow. It comes in an 18oz can and with a resealable cap. It tastes a bit like if you mixed the OG green monster with the Lo-Carb version. Its not that bad.

(Also in the pic is the Monster Hitman, 3oz shooter. Which is what i have personally switched to lately. This way i dont have to drink a whole can of this poison to get the benefit of it.)

My dude at Monster also had me whip up this promo sheet to advertise the new stuff.

Oh yeah, and Larry & Doc is almost done...prints coming soon.

Goodies for me...

My lady and i celebrated our anniversary the other day, and she hooked me up with a whole slew of cool stuff.

This Xikar cutter, in Red Wood, to replace the Titanium one (that she also gave me, years ago) that i lost back in March.

Always thinking ahead, she got me this travel humidor, for our upcoming trip to Hawaii. As many vacations as we take, i honestly have no idea why i never bought one of these for myself.

Plus a whole crap-ton of cigars. Something like 40 total, 20 being my favorite cigar ever. (CAO Brazilia)

And i got myself this hat. Its summer time, fitteds get a little too hot sometimes.

She also got me brand new silverware and some dope new wine glasses, but i got no pics cause theyre currently in the dishwasher, being cleansed before use. She would kill me if i didnt wash them first.

Last LOSO post, i swear...

My man Charles emailed me this link to a video with FAB. He shows off the new piece and gets a little cute with describing the yellow/white gold concept.

"Sunny or Cloudy?"

Sorry, i dont think the site will let me embed the video here. So you gotta click it.

Still missin you Jake. I got a little bit of you though, it feels good.

(even though Yong suggested that i probably got the dust from one of your last turds. Either way, im cool with that. Hell, if someone was gonna get the poop dust, im sure you'd be ok with that person being me)

Love you bud.

Long weekend...

So last Saturday, i headed to my boy Alan's house to grill up some steaks and deliver the 300 painting that i finally finished. He decided to hang it up in his "game room"/front entry way.

So we took a couple pictures, cause why not?

Then i was planning on heading to my niece's 5th birthday party, but that was postponed until Sunday, due to a bomb threat in the neighborhood. Long story, but in the end 2 snipers dropped the bomb-threater after he pointed his rifle at the police helicopter and threatened to shoot it out of the sky. So, since that plan was delayed, off i went to Jake's old place/Dallas' current place for a party.

The basic purpose of the party was to get a bunch of Jakes good friends together and basically pay tribute to the man, in a more casual, less responsible way than is acceptable at a traditional memorial. Plus Jake's dad brought over the ashes for those who had already decided to get their Keith Richards on and "partake" in preserving the spirit of our boy Fame.

Heres me and Aaron, long time, close friend of Jake.

Jakes brother Mike, Aaron again, and Dallas. Dal was Jakes other brother, it just so happens that they werent actually blood relatives, but in their case, that was really nothing more than a techincality.

This is me being drunk and soaking up knowledge from Jeff, Jakes dad. This guy amazes me with his great advice and overall knowledge about life in general, plus he cracks me up every time i see him.

Me lighting up the last cigar i had left from Jakes humidor. A CAO CX2, for the record.

This is what happens when you sprinkle Jakes ashes into a Red Stripe. It foams up like it was magical fairy dust. Its like Fame's still getting in shots from beyond and messing with your drinks.

Overall it was a great night, and i gotta say i havent been as hungover as i was the following morning, in a LONG time.

Ill leave you with a couple of videos as well.

My dudes shirt was hilarious:

Jakes poppa with some words of wisdom:

And here's Dallas, partaking. With Mike in the background, apparently he thought i was just taking a photo, but that just makes it that much funnier.

I have a couple other videos that are entertaining as well, but theyre pretty long and ima need someone to hit me up with a site that will host videos over 100mb.
