Holiday Beard 2009...come and gone...

Posted: Wednesday, December 30, 2009
Just cut it off tonight. I grew it out for the entire month of december. I must say, im pretty satisfied with how it came out in the end. The ladies in my life werent exactly fans of it, but so what, it was only for a month.

I took a pic of the tufts of beard hair in my bathroom sink after i cut it off, but i erased it asap, cause it looked like some hairy turds. I somehow managed to gross myself out with my beard. Never thought that would happen.

Strictlyfitteds is a website dedicated to keeping up on all the new fitted hats releasing, well, everywhere.

They keep an eye on The Clink Room, and post about the contests. Today when i checked the site out I saw my Grind logo featured as one of their personal favorites in the current contest.

I dont have high hopes of winning, based on some of the other designs that won the last contest, but its nice to see someone else out there digs my concept.

Heres a screencap, click the pic to enlarge.

Heres a direct link.

So I got a new shirt (as if anyone cares...)...

Im only posting this cause its VAGUELY related to work ive done. My boss gave me a new work shirt today. Its a long sleeve Nike Dri-Fit polo shirt. What makes it related to work that ive done, is that the logo i designed a couple of years ago, is embroidered on the sleeve. This is a secondary logo i whipped up to compliment the main company logo i desinged, and the big-wigs at work seem to like it just as much, if not more than the original. So theyve used it on fleece jackets, a Cutter & Buck windshirt, and now this polo.

Im happy, cause i like the shirt. But i think they made enough for the entire company, which means every time i wear it to work there will be at least 5 other people wearing it that day. F it though, i still like the shirt.

Sole for Seattle...

So i forgot to post about it, but as planned, last weekend i drove up to Rock Paper Scissors and made a donation.

I only donated 5 pairs, but from the donations in the box that were already there, it seemed like a solid bit of help. A donation is a donation, but damn Seattle, you really think the less fortunate arent already wearing some nasty, beat-up old running shoes?

Anyway, helping is helping, no matter how much you give. So get out there and donate this season. Even if its not monetary, donate your time and volunteer somewhere. Its always appreciated, especially for the people who are less fortunate during the holidays.

A Lion logo...

I threw this together in the last day or two for an entry in the Clink Room contest. Its been slow as hell at work so i figured, "why not?".

I like how it came out, im thinkin maybe i should design mascots and sports logos more often.

Buy my stuff vol 3....

This is my blog, so im just gonna keep on shamelessly plugging my eBay auctions.

But dont fret, im still gonna go donate a whole crapload of shoes to the Sole of Seattle this weekend....and you should too.

'Tis the season for charity...

This is a great cause, i wish i would have known about it last year. Ill definitely be contributing this year. I donated 3 bags of clothes to the purple Big Brothers Big Sisters (or whatever its called) donation box a couple weeks back, and i threw a pair of Air Force Ones in there too, but i know i got more old shoes that ill probably never wear agan.

So if youre in the Seattle area, and you have a retarded amount of shoes takin up space in your home, like i do, dig through em, donate some, and make some kid a little bit happier this Christmas season.

Big ups to RPS for taking part in this.

Im mad i didnt think of this first....
